Christmas in Full Swing
Every year, this display in Flourtown gets a little bigger and bolder. When we stopped to take a photo, we met several people who said that coming to see these lights is always a highlight of the holiday season for them. From the life-sized Santa and giant teddy bear to the ski gondola, there is a lot to see here. Don’t miss the lights in the backyard, too!
Lights on Ulmer
Light projections and a friendly Frosty the Snowman make this house in Oreland a must-see.
Talarico’s Tinseltown
This Dresher home is one of our very favorites anywhere in the metro area. From an impressive steam engine in the yard and Santa’s reindeer on the roof to the scenes from A Christmas Story in the front window, the Talarico family packs a creative punch in their decorations. Visitors are welcome to explore the yard to see everything up close and hear the music.
Candy Cane Lane
Candy Cane Lane has been a tradition in Oreland for over 20 years. Almost every house on the 100 block of Garth Road is lit for the season, and many houses in the surrounding blocks join in on the fun. There is even a special street sign and a mailbox to collect letters to Santa. All the participating houses have giant illuminated candy canes in their yards. It’s worth the trip to park and walk down the street to see all the different decorations.
Many of the houses collect donations for charities like Philabundance, which you can donate to via QR codes on the yard signs. The lights stay on through January 3, 2025.
White lights on Bruce
With white icicle lights and arches, this house is super festive and elegant in its simplicity.
Have a Crabby Christmas
Lots of light sculptures–including crabs–pack this yard in Plymouth Meeting. There are several other nicely decorated houses nearby.
Michael Family Lights
Few other houses will stop you in your tracks like the Michael Family Light display. The 2023 winners of ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight go all out for Christmas. Projections, marching nutcrackers, and massive Christmas light bulbs are just a few of the things that make this location special. We love the custom built, interactive “naughty or nice” meter that will tell you just how good you’ve been this year.
When all the pieces are up, this display has an unbelievable 85,000 lights and 1600 figures. The family raises funds for the National Ataxia Foundation, so consider a donation when you visit.
Lights on North Penn
The classic lights on this Hatboro home evoke a nostalgic feel. Don’t miss all the decorations in the upstairs windows.
Gingerbread house on Emerald
Cookie-shaped inflatables and a creative gingerbread house make this yard unique. Lights are on nightly 4:30pm-10:30pm.
Maleski Family Christmas Display
There is so much happening in this incredible yard that you have to see it to believe it. Whether you’re a lover of Elf or more into Disney or Frosty the Snowman, you’ll find something to love here. Clark Griswold makes an appearance as do The Grinch, The Peanuts characters and thousands and thousands of lights. This family are clearly big Eagles fans (Go Birds!) featuring more than one figure in a jersey, including Jason Kelce.
The backyard is lit up, too, so take the time to look around. Any time there is a house with this much going on, you have to wonder how the neighbors feel about it. In this case, the house next door has a simple neon sign in their window that says, “Ditto” and has an arrow pointing at the Maleskis. Gotta love a neighbor with a sense of humor and an appreciation for these excellent lights.
Merry Lights on Pershing
This charming house on a sprawling corner lot is decked out in lights and sculptures. They collect donations for a local food pantry in a locker on the side of the house.
Chrostowskis’ in Hatboro
The Chrostowski home shines like a beacon in the night. We first visited this brilliant property in December 2020 when we needed a bit of extra Christmas spirit. We’ve returned since, and the display has only gotten bigger and brighter over time. Take a drive by–you won’t be disappointed. Crack your window to enjoy the music.
Santa’s Toyland
Located along busy Forty Foot Road, this home features over a dozen inflatables, including Santas and snowmen. Several of the decorations include movement like the working snow globe.
Christmas Explosion on Manor Road
Of all the Christmas lights we’ve seen across Montgomery County and the suburbs, we’ve never seen anything like Manor Road in Hatboro. Every inch of the house and yard is blanketed in lights and there are lots of wooden yard decorations with custom lighting. It’s incredible to see.
Lights on Broadway
See Rudolph, the Abominable Snowman, and much more at this Christmas light display packed with fun on Broadway. It’s an easy spot to slow down for a good look, and there is another house with a synchronized light show down the street.
Wasson Family Lights
Flying reindeer and a mailbox for letters to Santa are just a couple of highlights of this Harleysville yard.
Synchronized Sheffield
Lights in this synchronized light show jump across the yard and illuminate the whole house in time to the music you can hear on 89.9FM.
Villanova Winter Wonderland
Over 30,000 lights and a dozen woodland creatures make this one of the best light displays to see in Villanova.
Walter’s Fun Christmas Experience
The scope of the decorations at Walter’s Fun Christmas Experience is almost impossible to believe. There are multiple soundtracks playing in different parts of the large yard to accompany different Christmas stories. Handmade decorations, blow molds, and inflatables depict a manger scene, Elf, Ruldolph, Victorian figures, and lots more. The Santa on the porch and all the characters in the windows make it even more special.
