Philadelphia believes it’s the center of everything. And it is! Especially in 2026 when so much fun and celebration will roll through the city in honor of America’s 250th birthday.
The semiquincentennial (yes, the fancy word for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence) brings lots of special events. There will be huge July 4th festivities and commemorations of events that happened first in Philly. Sports lovers will rejoice thanks to major tournaments like FIFA World Cup 2026 and the incredible NCAA March Madness. We’ll also host the MLB All-Star Game and the PGA Championship.
